We had a couple of our close friends over for Christmas dinner last night. It was a small but wonderful gathering. Hubby cooked up a turkey that was fit for a king, and I made some pancit and lumpia. Hubby also made some stuffing and gravy, and for deserts, we had leche flan, cake, and rice cakes. Everyone brought something; we had ham, fried rice, pasta salad, and so much. As we settled in for a tremendous feast, not just what we made, hubby regaled us with his take on travel to the Philippines. He had everyone in stitches! The conversation then followed to thoughts of Christmas past and wonderful friendships shared today. And, the vegetables hubby roasted with the turkey will actually make it to the soup this year! After dinner, the kids took the time to open some gifts, which provided some awesome fun! Of course, it ended all too soon, as most gatherings do. Everyone had to get home before Santa made his rounds!
Today was a busy one. It started with Jasmine wanting to open her gifts. She amped herself up on Christmas excitement. We had so much fun watching her open her gifts! Every gift accompanied by the exclamation that it was "The best ever!" Of course, there were gifts from mommy and daddy, our wonderful landlady, friends, and of course, Santa Claus himself.
After the initial rush was over and the family fed, it was time to finish the cleanup from last night. Then hubby spent the rest of the day fixing up the photos.
This Christmas has been one so full of blessings and friendship! I have to thank God for all that he has given us. His goodness, grace, and love are abundant in our life and made this season even more joyous than ever.
Well, here are the photos.
