Asian Pacific Heritage

Aloha! Talofa! Mabuhay! Maayong adlaw! As many of you know, May is Asian Pacific Heritage month. This is a time to recognize the contributions of Asians and Pacific Islanders, and a time to celebrate our cultures. Here in Hohenfels we celebrated on May 14th, with a gathering of our community to celebrate.

One of the highlights for us was when Miss Bernie taught Jasmine a few dance moves and let Jasmine go up and do a solo show for quite some time. Jasmine felt like she was the star of the show! Thanks to Miss Bernie and to all the girls for making Jasmine feel like a part of the team, and thank you for your hard work to put on such a nice show.

You can read more about the celebration here. I am posting many of the pictures here today, and will be posting some at my Bravenet page. I'm also posting a couple videos in the next post.

Miss Erykah and Miss Monica. These gals helped get everything together.

Chris and her daughter. Chris helped with the food and acted as MC, her daughter danced in the show.

Let's remember today is Memorial Day. This is a day to remember the sacrifices that made us free. Those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom are those we should be remembering and praying for today. Remember to pray for their families, and for our nation. May our children never have to make the sacrifices they made for us. God bless everyone out there, and God bless our military and their families.

I look forward to seeing all your comments and blogs soon. Thanks for visiting!
Ciao!
